The NAMCYA went to Naga City last September 23-24 for the semifinals of Bicol Region-based Semifinalists, as well as one group which came from Batangas.
Ateneo de Naga hosted the two-day NAMCYA event, starting with the Philippine Traditional Music Workshop given by UP College of Music Professor Jocelyn Timbol-Guadalupe. Students and teachers from Naga and Albay were able to attend the said workshop.
On September 24, parallel competitions in Youth Choir and Symphonic Band were held. The following will advance in the National Finals to be held on November 22-27 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines:
