What’s New in the NAMCYA 2017 Competitions?

Several things are being implemented for the first time this year in the Competitions:

1. ONLINE APPLICATIONS. All applications will be done ONLINE. No more submission of Application Packets via snail mail, just fill out the Online Application Form, attach deposit slip of Registration Fee payment, attach link to your audition video and upload (or email) Repertoire Form, Birth Certificates and other requirements in an online drive. Deadline for submission is on AUGUST 1, 2017.

2. LIVE AUDITIONS FOR SOLO INSTRUMENTS. All solo instrument categories (except Solo Rondalla Instrument) will be having their Live Auditions for Elimination and Semifinal Rounds a few days before the Finals Week.

3. SOLO OR ENSEMBLE FOR TRADITIONAL MUSIC CATEGORY. The non-competitive Traditional Music Category will welcome solo or group contestants. See category requirements here.

Check out our Social Media Pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) for updates, announcements, and events related to this year’s competitions.

Dear Ms. Tanate, which workshop are you pertaining to? At the moment we will have Traditional Music Workshops during the Semifinals phase. Likewise the Rondalla Music Camp (please see related story in the home page).

You may email your inquires to namcya (at) gmail (dot) com. Thank you!

      Dear Ms. Maranga,

Yes, you have to seek permission from the composer/arranger for the piece you will be using, if they are not public domain pieces. Thank you.
